phoenix, az : pomegranate cafe.

so back in march, josh & i took a little babymoon to scottsdale, az. when we went last spring, someone (cannot figure out who) suggested we try pomegranate cafe. at the time, there was only one location, no where near where we were staying. since then, they opened a second spot closer to scottsdale. so obviously we had to go this time around.

so about pomegranate cafe ... "organic. vegan & vegetarian. locally sourced. crafted with love." buzzword perfection.

ok, here's what's funny. josh wasn't really in the mood for vegan food. so we went to breakfast beforehand ... but i obviously couldn't only eat one thing on the menu ... so we both ordered dishes. then i consumed both. not the whole plates, people. but our server was v confused when josh's plate was just sitting there while i'm gobbling away.

anyway, here's what i had ...

avocado sandwich :
tofu, avocado, tomato, greens, "cheese' & pepita pesto on bread.
this was sooo good. josh tried it & said, exact quote, "why can't all vegan food be like this?" that's how good it was. also good as leftovers for breakfast the next morning.

wild western tacos :
two ancient grain tortilla stuffed tofu, farm fresh veggies, sweet + red potatoes, kale, "cheese," pico, guacamole, baja sauce & salsa.
these were good also, but didn't compare to the above sandwich.

if you happen to find yourself in the phoenix / scottsdale area, definitely check out pomegranate. you will not be disappointed.
