portland, or : por qué no taqueria.

well, guys. we made it. the last portland post. i've got to say, portland may be my favorite food city. (besides chi, obv.) just so much vegan food was inhaled (literally gained 5 pounds in 3.5 days) ... yet, so much more to be explored that i didn't even get to try! anyway, on to the last ... perhaps one of the best ... from, you guessed it, kilee : the pdx vegan.

when kilee said por qué no taqueria was one of her faves because of their vegan "bryan's bowl," i was kind of like ... meh. a bowl? how good could it be? but given how awesome her recos had been so far in the trip, we decided to go for it.

this taqueria has a cool philosophy ... "por qué no strives to support our local economy & community. whether it means using line caught fish & local meats for dishes that celebrate the flavor & essence of mexico, or supporting local organizations & schools that focus on equity, education, health, immigration & social justice, we want to make portland & the world a better place." i fully love this.

as mentioned above, i came for the bryan's bowl & got the bryan's bowl ... here it is :

bryan's bowl :
veggies in a bowl w/ beans, rice, salsas, guacamole, cilantro & chips or homemade tortillas. (no crema or queso fresco.)
LOOK AT THIS BEAUT.
so kilee was right, yet again. just so delicious. cannot recommend highly enough. incredible flavor, ultra fresh ... plus, if you don't love a homemade tortilla, you can leave.

chips, guac & salsaaa :
obv got chips, guac & salsa, too ... because i have no self control. never not good.

welp, there it is. por qué no taqueria is fantástico. as is the rest of portland. i'll 100% be back both to this great restaurant & this amazing city.
